While You Were Sleeping

This is the journal I kept while my husband was battling lymphoma.  It was a very difficult time in our lives, but we both came out much better people on the other side of it.

It's a free download, my gift to anyone that has been touched by cancer in any way.  We have shared it with friends and neighbors over the years who've gone through the war against the big C, and it's very heartwarming to hear the feedback.

The great people at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia hold a 'Celebration of Life' every spring for cancer survivors.  I've donated art and some poetry for the event, but nothing that's been received like this journal.  We turned it into a pamphlet one year and the feedback was incredible.

We were at a Christmas party that same year and a guest came up to me with tears in his eyes and said, 'I was just talking to your husband and we discovered we both had the same cancer, same docs and fortunately the same outcome.  He told me you wrote the journal that was at the Celebration of Life.  I just wanted to thank you.  It is amazing!'  Then I had tears, and we hugged.

This is a book about hope.
