I addressed the past and the future with my first blog post Feb. '10.  After that I jumped around a bit, but I've written about my parade of step-father's and why I feel my mother has always looked for love in all the wrong places.

I've written about running away with my 2 year old brother when I was 12, and the events that led me to that.  I also told the story about my mother's lame attempt at hiring a babysitter

In July 2011 I introduced my father with 3 posts, Heeere's DaddyHeere's Daddy part 2, and the end. They got a lot of response, which is why I've learned it's important to share these stories.

Three other posts that relate very much to my childhood, and created a lot of discussion, were about a road trip I took with my sons to say good-by to my grandfather and give them a chance to meet their grandmother.

My friend Jennifer Gresham at Everyday Bright asked me to do a guest post about my childhood and how I chose NOT to be a victim.  On the day she posted it I wrote We Need More REAL Parents, which has the link to my guest post as well.

One of the most read posts here is about my dear step-father Scotty.

People have always asked me how I turned out normal, which is a relative term ;)  I discovered the answer in this post.

I've written about my multiple siblings, 1/2 or step so to speak.  And there will be more stories to come.  I thought putting these tales on their own page would help keep the blog more organized.  Also, I know some people just don't want to read the more depressing stories, but that's why the tag line for this blog includes 'the ugly'!  Life is often times ugly... it's what you learn from it that matters.
